i heart PSH
i love this time of year. yeah its a new year full of new beginnings but what i'm talking about is oscar season. i get so fired up to see as many of the oscar movies as i can and there's zero guilt because its so cold and dark out - perfect movie watching weather. anywho when i saw capote i totally freaked because not only is it a fascinating true story but philip seymour hoffman is rad. so in typical "its a new year i need to do more cultural stuff" fashion i went to see PSH last night at davies symphony hall as part of the city arts & lectures series.
hi. i'm super fabulous.
so... it was rad. he was funny, well-spoken and told amazing stories about the work and intense thought process that goes into developing a character. it was an honest treat listening to him talk not only about something he's immensely skilled at but incredibly passionate about. if you get a chance to listen to the radio broadcast - do it - and if you haven't already - go watch capote.
